Stampin’ Up! Banner Sayings Cute As A Bug Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Banner Sayings stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Banner Sayings Cute As A Bug Birthday Card

Here is the theme that we’re all using this week:

My card design was inspired by TGIF Challenge #564.

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Cute As A Bug DSP to the front of a Poppy Parade card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut another panel of Cute As A Bug DSP with one of the Perennial Postage Dies.  I trimmed the edges of the die cut off and then adhered the panel with Stampin’ Seal to a panel of Poppy Parade card stock.

I adhered the layered panel to a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock and then to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the card front twice and tied a bow.

I stamped the sentiment from the Banner Sayings stamp set (Online Exclusive item) in VersaMark ink on a panel of Poppy Parade card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder and then heat embossed it.  I punched the sentiment out with the coordinating Three Banner Punch (Online Exclusive item) and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two ladybugs from the Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes (restocking around April 27) to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Banner Sayings stamp set in Poppy Parade ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then adhered a strip of Cute As A Bug DSP to finish the inside of the card.
