Stampin’ Up! Simply Said Fun Fold Birthday Card for Sunday Stamps

I used the Stampin’ Up! Simply Said stamp set and a little of the Lovely & Beautiful Specialty DSP to create a fun fold birthday card for the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge this week.

Here is the sketch challenge for Sunday Stamps SSC380.  Be sure to stop by the challenge blog to play along too!

I started by scoring a panel of patterned paper from the Lovely & Beautiful DSP (restocking around April 6).  Then I adhered a strip of Calypso Coral card stock to the back of the “card front” with Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered a small length of White With Gold 3/8″ Ribbon to the card front in a “v” with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I adhered three die cuts from the Beautifully Adorned Ephemera Pack with Mini Glue dots around the ribbon.  I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Petal Pink card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder and then I heat embossed it.

I cut the sentiment out with one of the Forever Florals Dies (Online Exclusive item available March 3) and then adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered two small die cuts from the Beautifully Adorned Ephemera Pack to the card front with Mini Glue Dots and then added three Pearlized Faceted Circles to finish the card front.

I stamped the floral image from the Simply Beautiful stamp set in Petal Pink ink twice on a Basic White card stock panel.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Calypso Coral card stock and then to the inside of the card with Stampin’ Seal to finish it.
