Stampin’ Up! Sweet Bugs Hello Friend CAS Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Bugs stamp set to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Bugs Hello Friend CAS Card

Here are the colors that we’re all using this week:

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Cute As A Bug DSP to a panel of Old Olive card stock with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I wrapped a strand of Linen Thread around the panel twice and I tied a bow.  I adhered the layered panel to the front of a Cajun Craze card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut panels of Cute As A Bug DSP and Old Olive card stock with the Branching Out Dies (Online Exclusive item, retiring soon) and then adhered the die cuts together with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Bugs stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Cajun Craze card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder and then heat embossed it.

I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two Cajun Craze dots from the Earthy Matte Dots (Online Exclusive item) to finish the card front.

I stamped the bug image from the Sweet Bugs stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored it with Light and Dark Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends Markers to finish the inside of the card.
