Stampin’ Up! Words & Wishes Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Words & Wishes stamp set to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Words & Wishes Birthday Card

Here is the sketch that we’re all using this week:

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Words & Wishes stamp set (available May 5) in VersaMark ink on the front of an Early Espresso card base, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder and then heat embossed it.

I adhered a panel of patterned paper from the Silly Old Bear DSP (Online Exclusive item available in the US only on May 5) to a panel of Golden Glow card stock (available May 5) with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layered panel to the front of the card with Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered two Early Espresso dots from the Earthy Matte Dots (Online Exclusive item) to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiments from the Words & Wishes stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock and then inked the image from the Sweet Old Friends stamp set (Online Exclusive item available only in the US on May 5), stamped it on scrap paper twice and then stamped it next to the sentiment to finish the inside of the card.
