Stampin’ Up! Hearts & Hugs Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hearts & Hugs stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Hearts & Hugs Birthday Card

Here is the theme that we’re all using today:

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Country Woods DSP (on sale for 15% off through August 31!) to the front of a Gray Granite card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with the Stylish Shapes Dies and I adhered the die cut circles to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the critters from the Hearts & Hugs stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored the images with Light and Dark Gray Granite, Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the images out with the coordinating Hearts & Hugs Dies and then adhered them with Mini Glue Dots to the card front.

I tied a bow with Crumb Cake twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and then adhered the bow to the card front with a Mini Glue Dot.  I stamped the sentiment from the Hearts & Hugs stamp set in VersaMark ink on a panel of Poppy Parade card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powders and heat embossed it.  I cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added two Gray Granite gems from the Adhesive-Backed Dappled Dots to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Said Mix & Match photopolymer stamp set Gray Granite ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then adhered a strip of Country Woods DSP to the bottom of the panel to finish the inside of the card.
