I used the Stampin’ Up! Decorative Trees stamp set and the Pocket Thoughts Dies to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it. I think this is my last Christmas project for the year…but the paper that I used could easily be changed out to another pattern for a gift card holder any time of the year!

Here are the colors that we’re all using this week:

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Sentimental Christmas DSP (retiring January 6) to a panel of Basic Beige card stock with Stampin’ Seal. Then I adhered the layered panel to a panel of Poppy Parade card stock with Stampin’ Seal.

I cut another panel of Sentimental Christmas DSP with the middle die from the Pocket Thoughts Dies and then adhered the die cut to the card front with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I stamped the sentiment from the Decorative Trees photopolymer stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on a panel of Basic Beige card stock. I cut the image out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and then adhered it to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

I cut the stocking and bow from the Sentimental Christmas DSP with the coordinating Sentimental Wishes Dies (on sale, retiring January 7) and then adhered the stocking with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the bow with a Mini Glue Dot. I added three Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments near the sentiment.

I punched the top of a panel of Basic Beige card stock with the Sparkling Snowflakes Tag Topper Punch and stamped a sentiment from the Decorative Trees stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on the tag to tuck inside the pocket with the gift card.
