Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies stamp set bundle to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a theme challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is the theme that we’re using this week:

I started by adhering a panel of patterned paper from the Bloom Impressions DSP ($60 level Sale-a-bration item) to the front of a Thick Basic White card base with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I cut a panel of Basic White card stock with one of the Textured Notes Dies (Online Exclusive item available March 4) and then adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the butterfly image from the Beautiful Butterflies photopolymer stamp set ($60 level Sale-a-bration item, also available to purchase) in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  Then I colored the image with Light and Dark Peach Pie and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut and embossed the image with the Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder Dies and then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set in Peach Pie ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then cut the sentiment out with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.  I adhered the die cut sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then added three Party Dots to finish the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set in Peach Pie ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then adhered a strip of Bloom Impressions DSP to finish the inside of the card.
