Stampin’ Up! Basket Of Blooms for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Basket Of Blooms stamp set and Small Bloom Punch to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a springtime them challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Here is the theme challenge for the hop this week:

I started by cutting a panel of Flirty Flamingo DSP from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP pack with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the die cut panel to the front of a Flirty Flamingo card base with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I stamped the flowerpot image from the Basket Of Blooms photopolymer stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a panel of Basic White card stock.  I used a Post-It Note to mask off the flower pot image and then stamped the two stem images from the Basket of Blooms stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento ink over the flowerpot image on the Basic White panel.

I removed the mask and then stamped the string image over the flowerpot in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored the flowerpot and leaves with Pool Party and Granny Apple Green Light and Dark Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I added a light shadow under the flowerpot with a Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker and then used the Color Lifter to remove some of the color from one area of the flower pot and from the shadow area.  I cut around the image with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then adhered the die cut panel to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

I stamped the flower image from the Basket Of Blooms stamp set six times in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and then colored them with Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I punched the images out with the coordinating Small Bloom Punch and adhered them together and to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

I stamped the sentiment from the Springtime Joy stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink on a panel of Basic White card stock and the cut around it with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I adhered a small looped length of Linen Thread to the back of the sentiment with Mini Glue Dots and then adhered the die cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

I adhered a strip of Flirty Flamingo DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock to finish the inside of the card.
