Stampin’ Up! Sweet Bugs Hello Friend Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Bugs stamp set from the upcoming January-April 2026 Mini Catalog to create my project for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge this week and this is what I made for it.

Stampin' Up! Sweet Bugs Hello Friend Card

Here is the sketch that we’re using this week:

I started by adhering a panel of Country Woods DSP to the front of a Crumb Cake card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then I cut panels of patterned paper from the Cute As A Bug DSP (available January 6) with one of the Textured Notes Dies.

I adhered the two die cut DSP panels to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.  Then I tied a bow with Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Bugs stamp set (available January 6) in VersaMark ink on a panel of Mossy Meadow card stock, sprinkled it with white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder and then heat embossed it.

I cut the sentiment with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies and then adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.  I added one of the Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes (available January 6) to finish the card front.

I adhered a strip of Country Woods DSP to a panel of Basic White card stock with Stampin’ Seal.
