Happy Hour Ivory, White and Gold Card

I’m sharing a clean and simple card with you today that I made with the Happy Hour stamp set from Stampin’ Up.

Happy Hour

Here is the list of products that you will need to make this card:

  • Happy Hour (126640 wood, 126642 clear)
  • Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334)
  • Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (1091289)
  • VersaMark Pad (102283)
  • Heat Tool (129053)
  • Very Vanilla Card Stock (101650)
  • Whisper White Card Stock (100730)
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

I started by cutting a sheet of Whisper White card stock in half lengthwise to create a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece for the card base and I scored it at 5-1/2″.  Then I cut  panel of Very Vanilla to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool and scored it at 1/8″ and 1/4″ on all 4 sides.  Then I stamped the sentiment on the panel using VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it with the Heat Tool.  Next, I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to the card base, one little tip: When I ran the SNAIL adhesive around the scored panel, I ran it inside the score lines so that I didn’t smash them while applying the adhesive.  Then I cut a square piece of Whisper White card stock to 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ and scored it at 1/8″ on all 4 sides and I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish the card, I cut a 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ square from Very Vanilla card stock and I stamped the drink and holly images in VersaMark ink, sprinkled them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them with the Heat Tool.  I adhered the square to the center of the Whisper White square using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is another 10 minutes or less card.  And with the Happy Hour stamp set, you could easily change the image by using the olive and turn this into a Happy New Year card (Stampin’ Up! has a Happy New Year sentiment in the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, 115370 wood, 127802 clear) or a birthday card using the birthday sentiment from the set or even a just because card using the cheers! sentiment.  This is a great stamp set because it’s got so many little stamps that you can add to make a card for almost any occasion!

And here is another photo of the card in a little different light, it shows the gold embossing a little better.
