Today I’m sharing a card that I created with the Stampin’ Up! Dress Up Framelits Die and the Everything Eleanor and Friendly Phrases stamp sets.  The technique that I used to create this card is the Puzzle Piece Resist Technique.

I started by stamping the flourish image from the Everything Eleanor stamp set on my main card panel using VersaMark ink and I heat embossed it using Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

Then I placed my Dress Up Framelits Die and taped it to the panel using blue painters tape and I ran it through my Big Shot.  I removed the dress die cut but left the Framelit in place and I sponged the background with Baja Breeze ink.

I sponged the dress die cut in Pink Pirouette ink, wrapped a piece of Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon around the waste and tied a loose knot.  Then I adhered both the Baja Breeze sponged panel and the Pink Pirouette sponged dress to the card base using SNAIL.

I added a little bit of SNAIL to the ribbon tails to hold them in place and I trimmed the ends.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Friendly Phrases stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Pink Pirouette card stock, cut it out with the smallest Ovals Collection Framelits die and adhered it with SNAIL to an Early Espresso card stock oval that I’d cut with the next size up Framelit.  Then adhered the layered sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the Early Espresso flower, I mixed about 1/2 teaspoon water with one drop of Early Espresso Ink Refill.  I dipped the flower that I’d cut from the 5/8″ Flower Trim in the mixture, squeezed it out a little and let it dry overnight.  The flower did lighten a bit as it dried.  I adhered the flower over the knot on the belt using two Glue Dots.  To finish the card, I added a strip of 5 pearls above the sentiment and one pearl to the center of the flower (using a Glue Dot to Secure it).
