Feeling Sentimental in Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip

Today I’m sharing a masculine card that I created for the Retro Sketches #53 Challenge.  I used the Feeling Sentimental stamp set that you can earn for free from Stampin’ Up! during Sale-a-bration.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

Feeling Sentimental

I stared by stamping the bike image in Crumb Cake ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  Then I cut the panel into 3 strips, each measuring 3/4″ x 3-1/4″.

Feeling Sentimental 1

I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink, then attached a strip of Crumb Cake card stock measuring 7/8″ x 3-3/8″  to the back of each with SNAIL.  I used my Paper Snips to cut the flag ends.

Feeling Sentimental 3

I stamped the sentiment from the Feeling Sentimental stamp set in Chocolate Chip ink , sponged the edges and adhered it to a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock.  I also sponged the edges of the Parker’s Pattern DSP with Chocolate Chip ink.

Feeling Sentimental 2

To finish the card, I layered and adhered the larger Chocolate Chip panel and the Parker’s Pattern DSP panel to the card base and I adhered the three flags to the card front with SNAIL.  I pierced four holes in the sentiment strip with my Paper-Piercing Tool and placed Metallic Brads through each hole and adhered the strip to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Feeling Sentimental 4

I also looped Linen Thread through a large Silver Basics Designer Button, tied the thread on the back side, then adhered the button to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
