Embossed Tool Shed Card

Today I’m sharing a card that I made for the Retrosketches Challenge #54.  I used the Tool Shed and Sweet Essentials Stampin’ Up! stamp sets to create a masculine thinking of you card.  Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

Tool Shed

I stamped the Tool Shed image on Crumb Cake card stock with VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Pewter Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Essentials stamp set (inking half at a time and using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement) on Crumbcake card stock in Chocolate Chip ink and I stamped a part of the Tool Shed image over it in Crumb Cake ink.  I sponged the edges of all of the card stock with Chocolate Chip ink and ran the blade of my scissors along the edges to distress them a bit.

Tool Shed 1

I adhered the Chocolate Chip, Natural Composition Specialty DSP and the Natural 7/16″ Trim Ribbon to the embossed panel with SNAIL.  Then I adhered the background embossed panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Chocolate Chip card base.

Tool Shed 2

To finish the card front, I layered the sentiment over Chocolate Chip card stock and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I wrapped Natural Linen Thread through the button holes of the Silver Basics Designer Button, tied it on the back and adhered the button with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tool Shed 3

I added a Crumb Cake panel inside the card.  I inked the Tool Shed image with Crumb Cake, stamped it once on scrap paper, then stamped it again on the Crumb Cake panel.
