Everybunny Little Chick and Some Blog Candy!!

I’ll start with some blog candy today…

My birthday is this week, so I thought I’d give away an extra special gift.  How about a little Paper Pumpkin treat?

I’ll be giving away the new Paper Pumpkin Try It Kit (Item 132600) to one lucky person.  All that you need to do is leave a comment on this blog post telling me what your favorite type of birthday cake is between now and Wednesday night (March 27) and you’ll be entered to win.  Anyone can leave a comment, but I’m only able to give the kit to someone with a US address, sorry about that.

My favorite cake is dark chocolate cake with dark chocolate frosting, yum yum!

And if you want your name to be thrown in the hat a second time to win, head over to my Facebook page and “like” it and I’ll put your name in twice (for those who’ve already liked me, you’re automatically entered)!  Good luck, looking forward to hearing about all of your favorite cakes and seeing you on Facebook.  🙂

Today I’m sharing a card that I made with the A Round Array and Everybunny stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  A Round Array is the sneak peek set from the 2013-14 Annual Catalog.  You can purchase this stamp set and the matching 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch in a bundle at 15% off until May 30 (items are available individually also).  Click here to see the bundle in my online store.

A Round Array

I started by adhering the Print Poetry DSP panels to the card front with SNAIL.  Then I stamped the little chick images from the Everybunny stamp set in StazOn Jet Black on Very Vanilla card stock (using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement) and I colored them with my Stampin’ Write Markers.  I adhered the stamped strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals to a strip of Gumball Green card stock that I’d embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  I adhered the layered panel to the card front with SNAIL.

A Round Array 1

To create the sentiment, I ran a Soda Pop Top through my Big Shot (between two cutting plates with no tabs on the platform) to smash it a bit, then I placed pieces of Sticky Strip on the back.

A Round Array 2

I adhered 1″ strips of the Melon Mambo 1/2″ Scallop Dots Ribbon to create a sort-of sunshine shape and I added more Sticky Strip over top of the ribbon.

A Round Array 3

I folded the individual pieces of ribbon back on themselves, using the Sticky Strip to adhere it.  Then flipped it over and started decorating the front.

A Round Array 4

I stamped the Collage Curios image in Summer Starfruit on Very Vanilla card stock, punched it out with the 1″ Circle Punch and adhered it with Sticky Strip to the Soda Pop Top.  I stamped the A Round Array sentiment in Gumball Green ink on Very Vanilla card stock, punched it out with the 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and adhered it with SNAIL.  I stamped the sentiment a second time in Melon Mambo, punched it out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and adhered it with SNAIL.  I added 3 small pearls to the sentiment and 3 larger pearls to the right side of the card front.

Everybunny

I couldn’t resist adding that little chick one more time to the inside Very Vanilla panel.

  5. Happy Birthday! Your blog is one of my absolute favorites. As for my favorite cake – it is white with white frosting. My whole family likes chocolate cake with chocolate frosting so I rarely get my special cake, but my birthday is next month and I’m hopeful – especially if I leave the recipe out someplace strategically for my daughter to see.

  6. My birthday is in the beginning of July – here in Minnesota – it’s the end of strawberry season, so I like one last strawberry dish and usually ask for strawberry shortcake!
