Oh, Hello Meets Buttons and Brads

Alright, so the title is a little corny.  🙂  I created this card for the Retrosketches #59 Challenge using the Oh, Hello and Perfectly Penned stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!

Oh, HelloI started by coloring the chevron images from the Oh, Hello stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers, stamping them off once on scratch paper, then using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp them on a panel of Very Vanilla card stock.  I stamped the Thank You sentiment from the Perfectly Penned stamp set in Early Espresso ink over the chevron images, then I trimmed to flag end in the panel with my Paper Snips and I adhered it with SNAIL to a banner of Pretty In Pink card stock that I’d embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  I sponged a Tea Lace Paper Doily with So Saffron ink and adhered it to a panel of Tea for Two DSP with SNAIL, then adhered the banner sentiment over the doily with SNAIL.

Perfectly Penned

Then I started adhering Subtles Designer Buttons and placing 3/8″ Designer Printed Brads, 3/16″ Neutrals Brads and Designer Builder Brads over the top of the banner.  I adhered the buttons with Glue Dots and I used my Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce the DSP and place the brads.  I curled the brad prongs under on two 3/8″ Designer Printed Brads and adhered them over the Designer Builder Brads with Glue Dots.  Then I adhered the DSP panel to a panel of Pretty In Pink card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

Oh, Hello 1

I finished the inside of the card by adhering a Very Vanilla panel and a strip of Tea for Two DSP with SNAIL.

  1. This would be a very original way to use left over buttons and embellishments. In addition, it is a very pretty card–so clever!!!
