Mixed Bunch Butterflies

I used the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Bunch and Sweet Essentials stamp sets for my card share today.  The butterflies were inspired by a fabulous card that Sandi MacIver created, you can see it here.  I kept mine a little more on the clean and simple side today.

Mixed Bunch

I started by embossing the Tempting Turquoise panel with the Flower Garden Embossing Folder.  I adhered the panel to a Daffodil Delight panel, then to the Melon Mambo card base with SNAIL.  I stamped the Mixed Bunch images in VersaMark ink on Daffodil Delight card stock, sprinkled them with Melon Mambo Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched them out with the Blossom Punch.

Mixed Bunch 2

I used my Paper Snips and cut the top two petals off of each flower punch to create the butterfly.  I also used my Bone Folder to round the remaining petals before I adhered them with SNAIL under the center and Stampin’ Dimensionals under the wings.

Mixed Bunch 1

I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Essentials stamp set in Melon Mambo ink on Whisper White card stock and adhered it to a strip of Melon Mambo card stock.  I used my Paper Snips to cut the flag end and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.  I added a button from the Brights Designer Buttons and a rhinestone, adhering them both with Glue Dots.  And I finished the card front by adding three rhinestones to the upper right corner.

Papillon Potpourri

I added a quick butterfly image from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set (123757 wood, 123759 clear) in Melon Mambo ink to the Whisper White panel inside the card too.
