Wildflower Meadow Sneak Peek and Some Blog Candy!!

I’ve got another sneak peek from the new Stampin’ Up! catalog for you today.  The stamp is called Wildflower Meadow and it’s got a matching embossing folder (which will be available in the new catalog as a bundle where you can save 15%!).  My card was inspired by The Paper Players #144, which was a challenge to showcase a Mother’s Day project.

Wildflower Meadow

I started by using my Simply Scored Diagonal Scoring Plate to score a panel of Whisper White card stock at 1″, 1-1/8″, 2″, 2-1/8″, etc until I had score lines running across the entire panel in one direction.

Diagonal Plate Scoring

Then I rotated the panel 90 degrees and scored it again at the same points.  This resulted in the grid pattern on he background.

Once I completed the scoring, I adhered the panel to a Crisp Cantaloupe card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I stamped the Wildflower Meadow image in Crisp Cantaloupe ink on Whisper White card stock, cut it out with the Ovals Collection Framelits die, embossed it with the Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder and adhered it with SNAIL to an Ovals Collection Framelits die cut from Crisp Cantaloupe card stock that I’d embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.  I adhered the layered oval to the card front with SNAIL, then added pearls to the flower centers.  I finished the card front by stamping the sentiment from the Loving Thoughts stamp set in Crisp Cantaloupe ink on Whisper White card stock and adhering it with SNAIL to a strip of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock that I’d embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.  I trimmed a flag end in the sentiment and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card front.

Wildflower Meadow 2

I stamped the Wildflower Meadow image a second time in Crisp Cantaloupe ink on a Whisper White strip and adhered it to a Whisper White panel inside the card.

How About A Little Blog Candy???

Alright, I’m guessing that most of you have seen the new catalog (or at least a few sneak peeks from it!) by now.  So leave me a comment with the name of the first stamp set that you’re planning to order once the new catalog goes live on May 31.  Please leave your comment on this post between now and Friday evening and I’ll draw two random winners from all of the comments left.  The stamp set at the top of my list is the new Flower Shop set with the matching punch (which you can also buy as a bundle and save 15%!), however the Six-Sided Sampler bundle is a very close second.  Stamp sets with matching punches or Framelits are always at the top of my list!

One lucky person will win the Big Shot Bigz L Blossom Box Die (retired):
