Hardwood Love & Sympathy Card – Stampin’ Up!

It’s always difficult to have to make a sympathy card, this one is going to a friend who recently lost her mother.  My friend is an outdoor person so I thought that the Hardwood stamp mixed with the flowers from the Love & Sympathy stamp set would be perfect for her.

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #128.

Very Vintage CAS Card

I’m sharing a card that I made with the Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel from Stampin’ Up!  The card is an odd size so I made an envelope with the Envelope Punch Board that fits it perfectly.  The punch board is a fantastic tool and it’s really simple to use.  Just line it up, punch, score, turn and repeat!

Best of Flowers in Crumb Cake and Basic Black

I used the Best of Flowers and Loving Thoughts stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card today.  I thought the Crumb Cake and Basic Black combination from the Dynamic Duos #71 was very “elegant” so it would be perfect for a fancier card, hope that you agree!

Watercolor Swallowtail Card

Today I’m sharing a card that I made for my fantastic upline, Sandi MacIverwho just found out that she made the 2013 Founders Circle (which means that she is one of the top 100 Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators).  An awesome accomplishment so I thought that I’d send her a quick card.  I used the Swallowtail stamp and my Aqua Painter to create this card.  My card design was inspired by the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Challenge #127.

Painted Pleasant Poppies Card

I couldn’t help myself, I had to use the two new embossing folders from the Stampin’ Up! 2013 Holiday Catalog again for my card share today.  Can you tell that I love them??  The new catalog has some fantastic accessories!  Anyway, I pulled out my Aqua Painter and painted the Pleasant Poppies image to create my card.  I used the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 272 to inspire my design.

Postage Due Watercolor Stamping With Embossing

I saw this cool technique in a video that Betsy Veldman created here.  She used the watercolor stamping technique, then heat embossed the image a second time over the watercolored image.  I thought the effect was really neat and I wanted to give it a try.  So I used it to create this card for the Mojo Monday 286 Challenge using the Postage Due stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  Here is the sketch:
