Papillon Potpourri Bokeh Effect Card

Today I’m sharing a card that I created by using the Bokeh Effect Technique.  I saw the Bokeh Effect description on Split Coast Stampers and I thought it would be perfect for this card.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Papillon Potpourri, Pleasant Poppies and Banner Greetings stamp sets for stamping and I used the Dynamic Duos #10 for the color inspiration.  Dynamic Duos is celebrating it’s 1 year anniversary of color challenges so we could pick any of the past color challenges to repeat.  I picked Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.

Papillon Potpourri

I started by coloring the Pleasant Poppies image with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamping it on a  Whisper White Panel.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Banner Greetings stamp set in Rich Razzleberry on the lower left side of the panel.  Then I inked up the solid butterfly image from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set in Rich Razzleberry and I stamped it three times on the panel without reinking it between stamping.  I repeated that process with the same image in Old Olive ink.

Papillon Potpourri 1

I stamped the larger Papillon Potpourri butterfly image on Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive card stock in VersaMark ink, sprinkled them both with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed them.  I punched the butterflies out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and I adhered them to the Whisper White panel with Stampin Dimensionals.  To finish the card front, I adhered the decorated panel to a panel of Polka Dot Parade DSP with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panels to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Papillon Potpourri 3

I used the same technique for stamping the butterfly image inside the card.
