Just Thinking In Color Card

Today I’m sharing a card that I made using the Just Thinking and Serene Silhouettes stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  The card design was inspired by the Mojo Monday 293 Sketch and the colors were inspired by The Paper Players #145 Color Challenge.

Just Thinking

I started by adhering a panel of Gumball Green DSP from the 2012-14 In Color DSP Stacks to a panel of Whisper White card stock, then to the Raspberry Ripple card base with SNAIL.  Next, I adhered a panel of Print Poetry DSP to a panel of Raspberry Ripple card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered a strip of Raspberry Ripple card stock to the Print Poetry panel with SNAIL, then I adhered a strip of Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon over that with SNAIL and I adhered the panel to the card front with SNAIL.  I cut the flags using the Bitty Banners Framelits die from the 2012-14 In Color DSP Stacks.  I cut the banners in half, then tucked them under the Raspberry Ripple strip, adhering them with SNAIL.

Serene Silhouettes

I cut a Window Frames Collection Framelits die cut and a 2″ Circle (using the Circles #2 Originals Die) from the 2012-14 In Color DSP Stacks.  Then I stamped the image from the Serene Silhouettes stamp set in Gumball Green ink on Whisper White card stock and punched it out with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.  I adhered the three layers together with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Just Thinking 1

I stamped the Just Thinking image in Raspberry Ripple ink on Whisper White card stock and cut it out with the Window Frames Collection Framelits die.  Then I colored the sentiment on the Just Thinking stamp with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it on Whisper White Card Stock.  I cut out the circle part of the image with my Paper Snips and I adhered it to the stamped image with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I finished the card front by adding three rhinestones.

Serene Silhouettes 1

I added a panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card that I’d stamped with the Serene Silhouettes image using Raspberry Ripple ink.

  1. Your card is a bit busy for my taste but actually I kind of like it….pretty colors and fun design!

  2. Amy, I love how you inked up the sentiment stamp with the markers, it really brings all of the colors from the base of the card together. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week and thanks for rocking my challenge
