Today I’m giving you another little peek at two of the new colors that you’ll be able to purchase from Stampin’ Up! starting on Friday.  I used the Baby Prints stamp set and the Soft Sky and Blushing Bride colors to create this pair of cards.  My card design was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #160.

I started by stamping the footprint images from the Baby Prints stamp set in Blushing Bride ink on a Blushing Bride panel.  I repeated that process for the boy card only I used Soft Sky ink and card stock.  I embossed both panels with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, then adhered them to a Whisper White panel with SNAIL.

I inked up one of the little footprints in VersaMark ink, stamped it on a Soft Sky panel, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I cut the image out with the Oval Collection Framelits die and adhered it with SNAIL to another oval die cut from Whisper White card stock that I’d embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I repeated that process with a Blushing Bride panel for the baby girl card.

Then I stamped the it’s a boy sentiment in Soft Sky ink on a Soft Sky panel and the it’s a girl sentiment in Blushing Bride ink on Blushing Bride card stock using my Stamp-a-ma-jig for placement.  I adhered the stamped panels to Whisper White panels, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I wrapped strips of Whisper White 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around the card fronts and attached them with SNAIL, then attached the card front to the card bases with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I finished the card by adhering the little embossed footprint over the sentiment panels with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I couldn’t resist stamping those little toes one more time inside each of the cards.
