Today I’m sharing two clean and simple congratulations cards that I made with the Sassy Salutations and Best of Butterflies stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  The Sassy Salutations stamp set is on sale at 25% off until June 30 so if you haven’t already purchased this great stamp set, now is a great time to do it!

My cards were inspired by the CAS-ual Fridays CFC103 Congratulations Challenge.

I started by measuring and drawing a “t” very lightly pencil lines on my Whisper White and Elegant Eggplant panels so that I could determine where the center of the panels were and to help guide my stamp placement so that I could get the sentiments straight.

I stamped the sentiment from the Sassy Salutations stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  Then I added three score lines across the bottom at 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″.

I stamped the Best of Butterflies images in VersaMark ink on Tangerine Tango card stock, sprinkled them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, heat embossed them and punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly punch.  I adhered the center of the butterflies to the panel with SNAIL, then used my Paper-Piercing Tool and the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack template to pierce around the butterflies.  I adhered the decorated panel to a Tangerine Tango panel with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added three rhinestones to finished the card front.

I finished the inside of the card by adding a panel of Tangerine Tango card stock and stamping a butterfly in Tangerine Tango ink on the Whisper White panel.

I used the same process to create the Elegant Eggplant card except I used White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Vellum.

One quick tip for adhering Vellum to card stock:  Use a little dab of Crystal Effects to adhere your Vellum to card stock.  It dries quickly and it doesn’t show through the Vellum.  It works great!

I finished the inside of this card by stamping the butterfly image three times on the Whisper White panel and adhered it with SNAIL.
