Today I’m sharing a card that I made with the Oh, Hello stamp set and the Epic Day This and That DSP, Washi Tape and Journal from Stampin’ Up!  My card design was inspired by Retrosketches #66.

I started by pulling one of the pages out of the Epic Day This and That Journal and trimming it down to fit on the card front.  I adhered the panel to the Basic Gray card base with SNAIL.  I adhered a panel of Epic Day This and That DSP to a panel of Basic Gray card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

Next, I inked up the chevron image from the Oh, Hello stamp set with Crumb Cake ink, I stamped it off once on scratch paper then stamped it on a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink and I used the ink splatter stamp from the My Paper Pumpkin Welcome Kit and Basic Gray ink to make the splatter.  I cut the sentiment out with the Ovals Collection Framelits die, sponged the edges with Basic Gray ink, adhered it with SNAIL to another oval cut from Basic Gray card stock that I’d embossed with the Chevron Embossing Folder, then adhered the layered ovals to the card front with SNAIL.  I added a Hung Up Cute Clip and two strips of Epic Day This and That Washi Tape to finish the card front.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping more ink splatters in Basic Gray on a Very Vanilla panel.
