Venetian Romance Meets Postage Due

Today I’m sharing a card that I made with the Stampin’ Up! Postage Due stamp set and the new Venetian Romance DSP.  My card design was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches #89 and the CAS-ual Fridays CFC104 Banners & Flags.

Postage Due

I started by sponging the edges of a panel of Venetian Romance DSP and a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with Soft Suede ink and I adhered the two panels together with SNAIL.  I cut four pieces of Tangerine Tango Baker’s Twine (from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit), sponged them with Soft Suede ink and wrapped three of the strings around the Vanilla panel, adhering them on the back with tape.  I tied the fourth string in a bow on the front of the panel and adhered the decorated panel to the Soft Suede card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Postage Due 1

I colored the Postage Due image with my Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it on a Very Vanilla panel, sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink and adhered it to a Soft Suede panel with SNAIL.  Then I cut seven little banners using 1/2″ DSP strips and my Paper Snips and I adhered them to the back of the Soft Suede panel with SNAIL.  I stamped the sentiment from the Blooming With Kindness stamp set in Soft Suede ink on a Very Vanilla panel, punched it out with my 1-1/4″ Circle Punch, sponged the edges and adhered it with SNAIL to a 1-3/8″ Circle Punch from Soft Suede card stock.  I adhered the stamped panel to the card front with SNAIL and the layered sentiment to the panel with Stampin Dimensionals.

Postage Due 2

I finished the inside of the card by adhering a strip of the DSP to a Very Vanilla panel with SNAIL.
