I used the new Simply Stars stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card share today. I love this little set of four stamps and it’s only $10.95 for the clear mount and $13.95 for the wood mount! My card design was inspired by Mojo Monday 300.
I started by embossing a Night of Navy panel with the Stripes Embossing Folder. I adhered it to a Real Red panel, then to a Whisper White card base with SNAIL. Then I cut a panel of DSP from the Regals and Brights DSP Stacks, trimmed a banner end in the Night of Navy panel and adhered them both to Whisper White panels, then to the card front with SNAIL.
Next, I stamped the little star images from the Simply Stars stamp set in Night of Navy and Real Red ink on a Whisper White panel, cut it out with a Circles Collection Framelits Die and adhered it with SNAIL to a Real Red 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. I adhered the scallop circle to the card front with SNAIL. Next, I colored the large star image with my Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped it on a Whisper White square. I cut a frame from Night of Navy card stock using two of the Squares Collection Framelits dies, adhered it to the large star with SNAIL, then adhered the framed star to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I colored the sentiment from the Best of Birthdays stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it on a Whisper White strip, adhered it to a Real Red strip, trimmed the banner end and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the card, I adhered a Neutrals Designer Button with a Stampin Dimensional over the end of the sentiment, then I added a large rhinestone to the center of the button and small rhinestones to the center of each scallop.
I stamped the small star image in Night of Navy and Real Red ink inside the card also.
