For my card share today, I used the Six-Sided Sampler and Backyard Basics stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! My card design was inspired by the CAS(E) This Sketch #37. I thought that the honeycomb background was perfect for a little bee!
I started by stamping the sentiment from the Six-Sided Sampler on a panel of Whisper White card stock. I embossed the stamped panel with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and adhered it to a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock with SNAIL.
I made four little loops of Basic Black 3/4″ Chevron Ribbon and adhered them to the back of the Daffodil Delight panel with SNAIL. Then I adhered the layered panel to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the 5 hexagon images from the Six-Sided Sampler and the bee image from the Backyard Basics stamp sets in VersaMark ink on a Whisper White panel. I sprinkled the images with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and I heat embossed them. Then I colored the images with my Stampin’ Write Markers, punched the hexagons out with the Hexagon Punch and cut the bee out with the Backyard Basics Framelits die. I adhered the hexagons to hexagons that I’d cut from Basic Black card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL. I adhered the bee over the hexagons using Stampin’ Dimensionals to secure it.
I stamped the bee image again in StazOn Jet Black on a Whisper White panel inside the card and colored it with my Stampin’ Write Marker.
