For my card share today, I used the Apothecary Art stamp set from Stampin’ Up!  My card design was inspired by the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #165 and by the Fab Friday #24 Color Challenge.  When I saw the inspiration photo from Hand Stamped Sentiments, I immediately thought of school and since my blog candy weekend is focusing on teacher gifts, I thought that a teacher thank you card would be the perfect thing!

I started by embossing a Crisp Cantaloupe panel with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, then adhering it to a Crisp Cantaloupe card base with SNAIL.  Next, I adhered a panel of Venetian Romance DSP to a Very Vanilla panel, then to the card front with SNAIL.

To give the card a little bit of that black patent shine, I stamped the image from the Apothecary art stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I repeated that process with the sentiment, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement.  Then I colored the flowers with my Stampin’ Write Markers and cut the image out with the Labels Collection Framelits die.  I adhered Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8″ Ruffle Stretch Trim to the back of the die cut with SNAIL, then adhered the die cut to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I finished the card front by adding three pearls to the lower right corner.

To finish the inside of the card, I simply adhered a strip of Venetian Romance DSP to a Very Vanilla panel.
