It’s finally starting to feel a little like fall in Atlanta, cooler morning temperatures and warm, dry afternoons.  So I thought that I’d pull out some things to make a fall themed card.  I used the Harvest of Thanks and Tags 4 You stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create my card share for today.  I also used a few pieces out of the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit, if you haven’t picked up that kit yet you should!  It’s got some great pieces for card making and for decorating your Thanksgiving table.

I started by adhering one panel and one strip of the houndstooth DSP (from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit, it’s the same pattern as the Sweater Weather DSP so you can use that instead) to a panel of Tangerine Tango card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered panel to a Chocolate Chip card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I colored the turkey image from the Harvest of Thanks stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with the Deco Labels Collection Framelit Die.  I adhered the stamped image with SNAIL to a sanded Circles #2 Originals die cut from Tangerine Tango Core’dinations card stock, then to a Circles Collection Framelits die cut from Chocolate Chip Core’dinations card stock that I’d sanded.  Then I adhered the layered die cuts to the card front with SNAIL and I adhered a strip of 1-1/4″ Burlap Ribbon with Sticky Strip over the seam in the DSP.

I punched a 1-3/4″ Circle from Tangerine Tango Core’dinations card stock, sanded the edges, adhered a leaf from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit with SNAIL, then adhered the layered circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Next, I colored the Tags 4 You image with my Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it on a Whisper White panel and punched it out with the Label Bracket Punch.  I adhered the punch with SNAIL to a sanded 1-3/4″ Chocolate Chip Core’dinations card stock punch, then to a 2″ circle cut from Crushed Curry Core’dinations card stock with the Circles #2 Originals Die and sanded.  I finished the card front by adhering the layered sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished the inside of the card by adhering a strip of the houndstooth DSP from the kit to a panel of Whisper White card stock.
