A Merry Season of Style

I made a quick Christmas card to share with you today using the Expressions Thinlits Dies and the Season of Style Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!  The Expressions Thinlits Dies are so easy to use and they work great with the Foil Sheets.  I also like to use the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets with the dies, they’re really quick to adhere with no liquid glue gooping out around the edges.  Liquid glue and I don’t always get along so well.  🙂

My card design was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches #103.

Expressions Thinlits Dies

I started by embossing a panel of Old Olive Textured Card Stock with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Whisper White card stock, then to a Cherry Cobbler card base with SNAIL.  Next, I adhered a larger panel and smaller strip of Season of Style DSP to a panel of Whisper White card stock with SNAIL.  I forgot to round the corners on the right side of the panel…didn’t realize it until I had the card completely done.  Oops!!

Expressions Thinlits Dies 1

I wrapped a piece of Silver 1/8″ Ribbon around the DSP panel and adhered it with SNAIL.  Then I placed two silver Glimmer Brads (using my Paper-Piercing Tool and Stampin’ Pierce Mat) through the DSP panel and I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I finished the card front by adhering a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet to a Silver Foil Sheet.  Then I ran the Silver Foil Sheet and the Expressions Thinlits Die thorough my Big Shot to cut out the sentiment.  I popped the sentiment out of the die using my Paper-Piercing Tool, peeled off the backing from the adhesive sheet and adhered the sentiment to the card front.

Merry Little Christmas

I stamped the sentiment from the Merry Little Christmas stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel.  Then I adhered a strip of Season of Style DSP to the panel to finish the inside of the card.
