I just got the Best of Christmas stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and I couldn’t wait to use it! I love the Santa image, the ornament image and the little Dasher is fantastic too. I used the Santa image and a little Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake card stock to create my card to share with you today. My card design was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches 108.
I started by adhering a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock to a Crumb Cake card base with SNAIL. Then I layered smaller panels of Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake card stock over the card front and adhered them with SNAIL. I added a wide band of Season of Style DSP to a band of Crumb Cake card stock using SNAIL to adhered it, then I adhered the layered band to the card front with SNAIL.
I stamped the Santa image from the Best of Christmas stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink on a Whisper White panel. I colored the holly and hat with my Stampin’ Write Markers and I added Dazzling Details Glitter Glue to the furry parts of the hat (it’s a little hard to see in the picture). I also added a little bit of Crumb Cake to Santa’s beard with my Stampin’ Write Marker. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Crumb Cake card stock with SNAIL, then I adhered two banners that I’d cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies (one from Season of Style DSP and one from Crumb Cake card stock) to the back of the layered Santa image with SNAIL. I adhered the Santa image to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then I adhered a Bitty Banners Framelits die cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock over the Santa image panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished the card front by stamping the sentiment from the Embellished Events stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock, then I adhered it to the Cherry Cobbler banner with SNAIL.
I finished the inside of this card by stamping the sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink on a Whisper White panel, then adhering a strip of Season of Style DSP.
