I made a clean and simple masculine birthday card with the Wishing You and Sketched Birthday stamp sets to share with you today.  My card design was inspired by Sketch Frenzy Friday SFF101113 and The Paper Players #168.

I started by embossing a panel of Basic Gray Core’dinations card stock with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder.  I sanded the raised areas, then adhered the panel to a panel of Real Red card stock, then to the Basic Gray card base with SNAIL.  Next, I adhered a panel of I Am Me DSP to a panel of Real Red Core’dinations card stock the to the card front with SNAIL.  I adhered a strip of the I Am Me DSP to a strip of Basic Gray Core’dinations card stock with SNAIL, then I snipped the banner end and adhered it to the card front with SNAIL.

I colored the image from the Wishing You stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it on a Whisper White panel, cut it out with a Circles Collection Framelits die, then adhered it with SNAIL to a panel of Real Red Core’dinations card stock that I’d cut with a Circles Collection Framelits die and sanded.  To finish the card front, I colored the sentiment from the Sketched Birthday stamp set with my Stampin’ Write Markers, stamped it on a Whisper White panel, cut it out with the Bitty Banners Framelits die and adhered it to the die cut circles with SNAIL.  I adhered the layered circles to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a strip of I Am Me DSP to a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the card.

Competitive Activities Policy Update
Along with the extension, Stampin’ Up! is allowing a limited exception to the Competitive Activities Policy for people interested in becoming a demonstrator; anyone who currently is involved in a directly competitive business who signs up between October 21-November 30, 2013 will not need to resign from their former business prior to signing up with Stampin’ Up!  They will have until December 1, 2013 to decide which company they will represent and by that time will need to resign from one or the other.
