I made a little gift bag and tag set using the Snowflake Soiree stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to share with you today.  I love this stamp set and it’s on sale for 25% off (along with 24 other stamp sets) but only through 11:50 PM MST tonight.  Click here to see all of the stamp sets on sale right now.

My gift bag design was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches 109 and the CASual Friday CFC118.

I used one of the Tag a Bag Gift Bags from Stampin’ Up! to create my little treat bag.  Since the bag is already designed, I wanted to go with a more basic color scheme so Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White seemed to fit the bill.

I heat embossed the Snowflake Soiree (wood mount and clear mount) images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and I layered the stamped panel over a Whisper White panel.  I added a panel of Season of Style DSP and a panel of Cherry Cobbler behind the focal image.

The “Merry” sentiment was cut from Silver Foil Sheets using the Expressions Thinlits Dies.  Don’t forget to put a sheet of wax paper between your die and the paper so that it pops right out of the die without ripping.

I made the little bag closure by punching two circles from Cherry Cobbler card stock with the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  I placed a piece of Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine over one of the punches and adhered it with a piece of a Stampin’ Dimensional.  And I added a little piece of a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back of the other punch as well.

Using the Stampin’ Dimensionals under the punches allowed just enough space to wrap the Baker’s Twine around them to hold the bag closed.

I stamped and embossed the snowflake images on the matching gift tag as well.

And I finished the inside of the tag by stamping the to/from sentiment from the Tags 4 You stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) and the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Cherry Cobbler Ink.
