Today I’m sharing a gift tag that I made using the Snowflake Soiree and Festive Flurry stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  I made this for the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday Holiday Tag-Stravaganza.  All of the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday designers have made fabulous tags so be sure to head over to the Try Stampin’ on Tuesday blog to check them out.

I started by drawing the base of my tag on the back of a panel of Silver Foil Sheet, then I used my Stampin’ Trimmer and Paper Snips to trim the top corners and bottom flag.  I cut a panel of Winter Frost Specialty DSP 1/4″ larger and used the same measurements .

Once I had the two bases pieces cut out, I stamped the Snowflake Soiree (wood mount and clear mount) images in VersaMark Ink on the Silver Foil Sheet and I heat embossed them with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then adhered the two tags together.  I stamped the two snowflakes from the Festive Flurry stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark ink, heat embossed one with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the other with Pool Party Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I cut them out with the matching Festive Flurry Framelits Dies and adhere them to the tag.

I cut the Merry sentiment from Pool Party DSP with the Expressions Thinlits Die and adhered it with Crystal Effects to the tag.  I used Crystal Effects because it stays wet just a little longer than the Two-Way Glue Pen does and it’s got a narrow tip so you can add very small amounts.  Then I adhered two Frosted Finishes Embellishments using Glue Dots to adhere them.

***Quick tip when using the Expressions Thinlits Dies:  Place a layer of wax paper between the die and your card stock, then run it through your Big Shot.  The die cut will slide right out without ripping and pulling.

I cut the bow from Winter Frost Specialty DSP using the Gift Bow Bigz L Die and used Glue Dots to adhere the pieces together, then to the tag.  I punched a hole in the top of the tag with the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, then punched a hole in a scrap of Pool Party card stock with the same punch.  I punched around the hole in the Pool Party card stock with my 1/2″ Circle Punch, then adhered the thin circle shape to the tag with Crystal Effects.  I looped a strand of Pool Party 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon and a strand of Silver 1/8″ Ribbon through the circle punch to complete the front of the tag.

I stamped the sentiment from the Tags 4 You stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Pool Party ink on a Whisper White panel and punched it out with the matching Label Bracket Punch.  I adhered it to two Label Bracket Punches from Pool Party card stock that I’d cut in half and layered.  Then I adhered the label to the back of the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
