Today I’m sharing a card that I made with the Sweet Sorbet DSP and Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack that will be available through Sale-a-bration starting Jan 28.  My card design was inspired by RetroSketches #95.

I started by cutting several 1-3/4″ x 4-1/2″ strips of Sweet Sorbet DSP (Sale-a-bration Item available Jan 28-Mar 31) into triangles.  I didn’t use any exact measurements for cutting the triangles, I just put the papers in my Stampin’ Trimmer at an angle and cut.  Then I laid out the DSP into the pattern that I wanted and adhered the pieces to a Sahara Sand panel.

Once I had everything adhered where I wanted it, I trimmed the excess DSP with my Stampin’ Trimmer.  The photo above shows you what the panel looked like after the DSP was adhered but before I trimmed it.

Next, I punched a 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle from Pistachio Pudding card stock and a 1-3/8″ Circle from Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and I adhered them together.  I used my Stampin’ Chalk Marker and made a little white dot on each scallop in the larger circle, then added a cork flower from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack (Sale-a-bration Item available Jan 28-Mar 31).

I placed the layered circles in the location that I wanted without adhering, then stamped the sentiment from the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Crisp Cantaloupe ink above it.  I removed the layered circles and pierced around the sentiment using the template from my Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, my Paper-Piercing Tool and Stampin’ Pierce Mat.

Next, I wrapped a strand of each color of Baker’s Twine from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack (Sale-a-bration Item available Jan 28-Mar 31) around the decorated panel, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them.  Then I finished the card by adhering the layered circle over the Baker’s Twine using Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere it, then adhering the panel to a Crisp Cantaloupe card base with Stampin’ Dimensioanls.

I used some of the leftover trimmings from my Sweet Sorbet DSP triangles to decorate the Whisper White panel inside the card.
