I’m sharing a card that I made with the Petal Parade stamp set that will be available from Stampin’ Up! during Sale-a-bration in a few weeks.  I must admit, when I first saw this stamp set in the flyer I wasn’t all that excited about it.  But after I pulled it out and inked it up, I really like it!  The images are bold and fun and make a card super quick and easy.  🙂

My card design was inspired by CAS-ual Fridays CFC125 and the color was inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments #176.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Happy Day stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Strawberry Slush ink on a Whisper White panel.  Then I colored the image from the Petal Parade stamp set (Sale-a-bration item available Jan 28) with my Stampin’ Write Marker and stamped it under the sentiment.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement of both the sentiment and image.

I used my Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin’ Pierce Mat and Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack to pierce the ovals around the sentiment.

I stamped flower images from Petal Parade stamp set in Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay (ink pad on sale through today for 25% off) ink around the sentiment.  I layered the stamped panel over a panel of Bermuda Bay card stock, then adhered the layered panel to a Strawberry Slush card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I finished the card front by adding a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to four of the flowers.

I finished the inside of the card by stamping the Petal Parade images on a Whisper White panel.  Okay, I’m off to go wait impatiently by my front door for the UPS man to arrive with the Occasions Catalog Shares.  I’ll be cutting, wrapping and packing for the next day or two.  Yippee for new goodies!!
