I used the Blast Off stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create a birthday card with a little pull out tag. The tag can be used as a bookmark too! My card design was inspired by The Paper Players #180 Sketch but instead of making the tag pocket covered, I used a Window Sheet to let the recipient peek inside at the little alien space ship.
I started by stamping the planet and star images in VersaMark Ink on a Pacific Point panel, sprinkling them with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossing them.
Then I stamped the sentiment from the Blast Off stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in VersaMark Ink on the panel and I heat embossed it with Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I adhered the stamped panel to a Tangerine Tango panel, then to an Old Olive card base with SNAIL.
I created the little pocket by cutting a rectangle from Tangerine Tango card stock, then centering one of the Squares Collection Framelits Dies on one end, running it through my Big Shot cutting half of the frame out. Then I moved the Framelit over to the other end and ran it through again to cut the remaining area out. I adhered a piece of Window Sheet to the back of the Tangerine Tango frame with Sticky Strip, then adhered the frame to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I made the little tag bookmark by stamping the spaceship image from the Blast Off stamp set in VersaMark Ink on a Pacific Point panel, sprinkling it with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossing it. Then I stamped the flames in VersaMark Ink, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement, and heat embossed the images with Tangerine Tango Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I used the 1-1/4″ Circle Punch to punch the circle from the spaceship and I stamped the little alien in Old Olive ink on a Whisper White panel and I adhered it to the back of the tag.
I adhered a panel of Old Olive to the back side of the tag to cover the cut out and a strip of Old Olive to the top of the tag. I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to punch the top of my tag and the Envelope Punch Board rounder punch to round the bottom of the tag. Then I tied three strands of Tangerine Tango Baker’s Twine (from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit) through the top of the tag to finish it.
I stamped three little aliens in Old Olive ink and the sentiment in Pacific Point ink on a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the card.
