I used the Delightful Dozen stamp set and the Bird Builder Punch from Stampin’ Up! to create a cute little Easter card.  My card design was inspired by Try Stampin’ on Tuesday #162 and the twist this week is to use bunnies and chicks.  I saw this card made by Melissa Davies where she featured the little chicks made with the Bird Builder Punch and I couldn’t resist adding them to my card today!

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Delightful Dozen stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a panel of Watercolor Wonder DSP.  I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement.  Then I adhered the stamped DSP panel to a Crisp Cantaloupe card base with SNAIL.

Next, I embossed a Crisp Cantaloupe card stock panel with the Scallops Embossing Folder and wrapped a piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around the panel and adhered it with SNAIL.  I adhered the panel to the card front with SNAIL.

I adhered a smaller panel of Watercolor Wonder DSP to the card front with SNAIL, then started working on the panel with the little chicks.  I embossed a panel of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, adhered it to a panel of Daffodil Delight card stock with SNAIL then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I punched three birds and wings from Daffodil Delight card stock with the Bird Builder Punch.  I trimmed the extended tails of the birds with my Paper Snips, then used the Scallop Oval Punch to punch the chick wings.

I colored the beaks and eyes with my Stampin’ Write Markers, then drew the little legs and adhered the chicks to the card front with SNAIL.  I adhered the chick wings with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added three Daffodil Delight Candy Dots from the Brights Candy Dots pack to the lower right corner of the card.

I adhered a strip of Watercolor Wonder DSP to a strip of Crisp Cantaloupe card stock, then to a Whisper White card stock panel to complete the card.
