Petite Petals With Simply Celebrate – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Petite Petals and Simply Celebrate stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! to create a fun little card to share today.  My card design was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #71 and The Paper Players #190.

Petite Petals 1 - Stamp WIth Amy K

Screen Shot 2014-04-09 at 8.00.29 PMFor the 3 of anything, I used 3 of lots of things!  I used three colors of ink, stamped each flower three times in each color of ink, punched three of each color flower and used three of each size of rhinestone.

I started by layering a panel of Whisper White card stock over a panel of Strawberry Slush card stock, then adhered the layered panel to a Coastal Cabana card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I inked up part of the sentiment from the Simply Celebrate stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) with Strawberry Slush ink and stamped it on a strip of Whisper White card stock.

Then I adhered the stamped strip to a strip of Strawberry Slush card stock and scored it straight up and down on either side of the sentiment, then scored it at an angle from 1/8″ away from the initial score line at the top to 3/8″ from the score line at the bottom.  I folded it on the score lines, then punched the ends with the Hexagon Punch and adhered the banner ends to the card with SNAIL and the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the flower images from the Petite Petals stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe inks.  I punched the flowers out with the Petite Petals Punch and adhered them randomly on the card front.  I adhered some with a dab Multipurpose Liquid Glue and some with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I punched circles with the Cupcake Builder Punch from Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe card stock and adhered them to the flower centers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

You can purchase the Petite Petals stamp set and matching Petite Petals Punch in a bundle and save 15% (wood mount and clear mount).

Petite Petals 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched out little Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush and Coastal Cabana flowers with the punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (on sale for 25% off through April 14) and I adhered them to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Then punched additional circles with the Cupcake Builder Punch for the flower centers and I adhered them to the flower centers with just a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I added three each of two sizes of Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front to complete it.

I stamped the flower images again on a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the card.

  1. Gorgeous! And I didn’t catch the cool way you did the banner until I read the post…very clever and really adds a cool dimension to your already cool card! Thanks for sharing and playing with my “three spree” challenge this week!

  2. Amy, another card knocked outta the ballpark! I love your card for the simplicity yet the details that really make it shine. The banner is really neat with the flowers surrounding, in different layers – really beautiful 🙂
