Quick Hip Hip Hooray Birthday Card – Stampin’ Up!

We’ve got several birthday parties coming up for my daughters friends so I pulled out the stamp from the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit and a little Birthday Basics DSP from Stampin’ Up! and I went to work.  The Freshly Made Sketches #131 sketch made for a quick and easy card!

Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit - Stamp With Amy K

I started by embossing a panel of Summer Starfruit card stock with the Alphabet Press Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a panel of Gumball Green card stock with SNAIL, then to a Bermuda Bay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiment from the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Birthday Basics DSP, sprinkled it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Gumball Green card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

If you haven’t checked out the Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit, it’s fantastic and contains everything that you’ll need to make 20 cards for only $19.95!  It has ink, stamps, self-adhesive die cuts, embellishments, Stampin’ Dimensionals and an instructional brochure.  And the cards are really cute too!  For more information, you can see the kit on my What’s New from Stampin’ Up! page above or click here to go see it in my online store.

Hip Hip Hooray Card Kit 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of the Birthday Basics DSP to a strip of Bermuda Bay card stock with SNAIL, then adhered the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the top of each of the Summer Starfruit candles in the DSP panel to “girl” this one up just a little.  🙂

Remembering Your Birthday - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the sentiments from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Bermuda Bay ink on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.  I also used the Cupcake Builder Punch to punch a little chocolate frosted cupcake and I adhered the pieces to the panel with just a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

  1. Love the colors you used on this card! These are combinations that I would not think of using until after I see them here. And that dsp is some of the prettiest birthday paper. So glad i bought two packs of it because one is almost gone.

  2. Such a great card Amy! Love the bling! The embossed background looks great! Love the little cupcake inside! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

  3. Love the bright happy colors 🙂 and as someone said before, the bling on the candles is a nice touch. Can’t wait to get my dsp and try this one!
