Label Card Thinlits Extended Flip Card & Introducing Project Life by Stampin’ Up!

Big news from Stampin’ Up! about partnering with Project Life!  See more details about when you can purchase these fantastic new items below.

And I made a card to share today with the Label Card Thinlits Dies.  My card design was inspired by the Stamping and Blogging SB52 Sketch.  Be sure to check out what the other Design Team Members have created with this sketch too, their blogs are linked below.

Label Card Thinlits Die - Stamp With Amy K

Sandi MacIver put together a video for creating the extended flip cards using the Thinlits Dies from Stampin’ Up!  You can see her video here, I made a similar card but I switched the orientation of the card to vertical rather than horizontal and I turned the card upside down to fit better with the sketch.  The cool thing about this is that the final card is a standard A2 size!

I started with a Crumb Cake card stock panel cut to 5-7/16″ x 8-1/2″ and I adhered a 2″ x 5-3/8″ panel from the Fresh Prints DSP Stack to one side.

Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Label Card Thinlits Die with the extended piece pulled through and tucked under the die (just as shown in Sandi’s video) so that the extended flap would not be cut off.  After cutting, I folded the extended flap down the score line that was created by the die and adhered a panel 2-5/8″ x 5-3/8″ panel of Fresh Prints DSP to it.  Next, I punched a strip of Real Red Card stock layered with a strip of Fresh Prints DPS with the Hexagon Punch to create the banner end and I adhered the strip over the extended flap DSP layer.

I placed a shorter strip of the layered banner to the cut-out side of card and tacked it down with just a touch of SNAIL.  I flipped the card over and traced the label shape with a pencil, then removed the strip from the card and cut the shape with my Paper Snips.   Then I adhered the strip to the card front securely with SNAIL.

I cut a label from Coastal Cabana card stock with the Label Card Thinlits Die and I adhered it to the flipped area with SNAIL.  Then I cut the sentiment with another die from that set from Real Red card stock and I adhered it with a tiny bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue and I added a Real Red Candy Dot from the Brights Candy Dots pack dot the “i”.  I punched flowers with the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack from Real Red and Crumb Cake card stock and adhered them with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I punched the centers for the flowers with the Cupcake Builder Punch and also adhered them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Simply Celebrate - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped a panel of Whisper White card stock with the sentiment from the Simply Celebrate stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Coastal Cabana ink, cut it out with the die from the Label Card Thinlits Dies and adhered it with SNAIL to the opposite side of the flip.  I adhered a 2-1/4″ x 5-3/8″ panel of Whisper White card stock inside the card so that I could write a little note.  Then added a strip of Crumb Cake and Fresh Prints DSP to complete it.

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.
