When I saw the CAS(E) this Sketch #72, I had a ton of different ideas fly through my head. But I finally settled on using the Petite Petals stamp and matching punch from Stampin’ Up! to make a card with lots of little flowers all in rows. The colors for my card were inspired by The Paper Players #191.
I started by stamping the flower images from the Petite Petals stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana inks. Then I punched them out with the matching Petite Petals Punch.
You can purchase the Petite Petals stamp set and Petite Petals Punch in a bundle and save 15% (wood mount and clear mount).
I punched out nine squares from Always Artichoke card stock with the 1″ Square Punch and adhered them with SNAIL to 1-1/8″ squares from Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral card stock that I’d cut with my Stampin’ Trimmer.
Then I adhered the layered squares with SNAIL to a Whisper White panel. I didn’t use any special technique to line them up, just started with the two squares in the upper right and left corners and filled in the rows from there.
I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Day stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Calypso coral ink on the Whisper White panel, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement. I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Coastal Cabana card stock with SNAIL, then to the Calypso Coral card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered the little flower punches to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals then added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of each of the Calypso Coral flowers and a Calypso Coral Candy Dot from the Subtles Candy Dots pack to the center of the Coastal Cabana flower. I also flipped the Coastal Cabana flower the opposite direction to make it stand out a little more.
I stamped the flower images from the Petite Petals stamp set on a Whisper White panel in Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral inks, then adhered the panel to a Coastal Cabana card stock panel to complete the inside of the card.

Lovely as a tree would be a tremendous loss. So many uses for it and it can work for just about any occasion you would have. It’s a true classic in my book, but I’m sure they won’t be dropping that one, will they????
It’s really difficult to choose because so many retire before I can get them and then they show up on ebay at 4x the price! (I wish I could find Branch Out and Classic Pickup Trucks for a fair price.)
I think I would miss the Secret Garden bundle and Lovely as a Tree as they are so versatile and I find myself using them again and again.

There are many that come to mind, but I think I would miss Gorgeous Grunge the most. It is just such a versatile stamp set.

Very hard to choose, I would be devastated without Papillion Potpourri, think almost every card I make ends up with a butterfly on it. Also love By the Tide and Open Sea though. Cute card again, amy! Since I have only been stamping a short while, it is hard to answer that question, however I do think Lovey As a Tree is a timeless set. It seems very versatile, especially all year long for men or women. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy!
I think I would agree that Wetlands would be a favorite. I think it is one of the most usable and unique Stampin’ Up sets.
Great card, Amy! Tough color combination to pull off but you handled it beautifully. I would miss Thoughts and Prayers. It is such a great set for sympathy cards, or any elegant card. The tree image is great for masculine cards too!
The stamps I would miss the most would be Gorgeous Grunge. For the last year I think I have used that the most. By the way, you sure did a great job on the placement of all the squares on your card today! Perfect!
Teeny Tiny Wishes would be devastating to lose. I use it ALL THE TIME for those cards and gifts that require small greetings. It has been out there for a couple of years now and I just hope it will not be discontinued. This set covers so many holidays and life events it would be hard not to have it available. Thanks Amy for so many great ideas and beautiful projects!

Hmmm, I would miss Papillion Potpourri, Gorgeous Grunge, and Petite Pairs…. love all the sets, so hard to pick. I think it would have to Papillion Potpourri, I love to punch them out and dress up my cards with the itty bitty punch flower and some bling. So I’d have to say I’d miss that set most.

I think the two I would miss the most are the World Map and Lovely as a Tree. I got Lovely as a Tree many years ago (perhaps this is the oldest set in the catalog?) in wood and have been considering getting it in clear because I always worry that I will lose one of the stamps somehow
I must say the set I would miss the most would be ‘teeny tiny wishes’, it is my go to for any card that I make! The Open Sea would come in second.

Lastly I’d like to comment on which set I hope wasn’t retiring, namely Papaya Collage. I think the elements in that collection lend themselves to such creativity. I have mixed them with other stamps for different occasions. Love it!

Well, I don’t want any of my stamp sets retiring, truth be told… but I think I would really miss Blooming with Kindness. I love that flower so much! I find that I keep making cards with it (sometimes I have to stop myself… lol). It is just so elegant!
I sure hope Hello Doily stays around. I love that stamp! Blooming With Kindness is my favorite flower stamp – so realistic! Gorgeous Grunge sure surprised me – I use it all the time! Thoughts and Prayers is a staple for making sympathy cards. So glad I have them all. Stamping Up! does have the bestest stamps, I think. Sure they will come out with some more favorites in the new catalog.
