Hello My Friend – Stampin’ Up!

I pulled out one of the stamp sets on the Stampin’ Up! retiring list called My Friend to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging SB53 Sketch Challenge.  Be sure to check out what the other Design Team Members have created with this sketch too, their blogs are linked below.

My Friend - Stamp With Amy K

I started by adhering a panel of Venetian Romance DSP to a panel of Soft Suede card stock with SNAIL.  I adhered a smaller strip of Venetian Romance DSP to a strip of Soft Suede card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.  I wrapped a strip of Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon around the panel, adhered it with SNAIL, then to a Pistachio Pudding card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My Friend 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the My Friend stamp set (wood mount and clear mount) in Pistachio Pudding ink on a Pistachio Pudding card stock panel.  Then I stamped the sentiment from that set over the flower image in Soft Suede ink, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Soft Suede card stock panel with SNAIL, then to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My Friend 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I punched seven flowers from Island Indigo Core’dinations Card Stock (from the Regals Core’dinations Card Stock pack) with the flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  I sanded the flowers with the Stampin’ Sanding Block and snipped the little petals from the edges to the center, then adhered them to the card front with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

My Friend 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I placed a Pearl Basic Jewel in the center of each little flower and added two pearls to the upper right corner of the stamped panel.  I adhered an Island Indigo Candy Dot (from the Regals Candy Dots pack) to the card front to complete it.

My Friend 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the My Friend stamp set in Pistachio Pudding ink on a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

You can find a complete list of supplies, including card stock cuts, at the very bottom of this post.

  1. Beautiful Amy, I am so sad to see this stamp set go, especially now you have reminded me of how beautiful it looks when it is stamped x

  2. Love this combination of colors Amy!! Really a beautiful job with this stamp set. I think I’ll have to pull this one out and dust it off. Thanks for sharing your talent!
