Wetlands And Many More – Stampin’ Up!

I actually remembered to post a Father’s Day card on Father’s Day!  I had a flowery card all ready to go, but then I looked at the calendar and realized that I’d be posting something girly on Father’s Day so I did a quick retreat to my stamp room to make a different card.  Glad that I realized it BEFORE I posted this time (unlike on Mother’s Day).  🙂  I used the Wetlands and And Many More stamp sets and the new Typeset DSP from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.

Wetlands - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the My Favorite Things MFTWSC180 Sketch Challenge.

I started by adhering a panel of Typeset DSP to a panel of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Then I cut a panel of the Typeset DSP with the second largest Banners Framelits Die, trimmed just a little bit from the right and left side and the top and adhered it to a Basic Black card stock banner that I’d cut with the same die.  Then I adhered the layered banner to the card front with SNAIL.

Wetlands 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the goose image from the Wetlands stamp set in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a Very Vanilla panel, then placed a mask that I’d cut from a Post-it Note over the goose image and stamped the sea grass image from that stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink over the goose image.  I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Basic Black card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL.

And Many More - Stamp With Amy K

Then I stamped the sentiment from the And Many More stamp set in StazOn Jet Black Ink on a strip of Very Vanilla card stock and I adhered it to a strip of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL.  I punched the end with the Hexagon Punch, then adhered it to the panel with the goose image with SNAIL.

Wetlands 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I finished the card front by pulling Linen Thread through Basic Metal Buttons, tying knots on the back and adhering them to the card front with Glue Dots.

Typeset DSP - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered a strip of Typeset DSP to a strip of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL, then adhered the layered strip to a Very Vanilla panel inside the card.

  1. Amy, you sound like me….Ooops, it’s Father’s Day – Yikes all I have is girly cards!! 🙂

I really love the detailed layers you put into this card today, from the simple layers that add such pizzazz to the masking layer of sea grass over the goose image.

Won’t be long now until our dsp shares come and then I’ll be able to replicate this card. Can’t wait!
