Heather Van Looy and I both created a project with items from the Project Life by Stampin’ Up! line again today and we’re linking together so that you can see what both of us made. I used one of the cards from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection that had a die cut heart on it as my point of inspiration for this card.
I used the layout from Sunday Stamps SSC78 for my card.
I started by one of the new Hearts & Stars Decorative Masks to stencil hearts on in Whisper White Stampin’ Craft Ink on a Melon Mambo panel. I gave the panel a quick shot with my Heat Tool to make sure that it was dry before adhering it with SNAIL to a Whisper White panel, then to a Basic Black card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I punched a strip of Whisper White card stock with the Hearts Border Punch and adhered it to a strip of Basic Black card stock with SNAIL. Then I punched a few Melon Mambo hearts with the Hearts Border Punch and I adhered them with a touch of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on every other heart punch.
I sponged a little Melon Mambo ink on a panel of Dazzling Details Glimmer Paper then adhered the Glimmer Paper with Fast Fuse Adhesive (see the how to video for Fast Fuse here) to the back of the die cut heart card from the Everyday Adventure Project Life Card Collection that I’d cut down to the size that I needed for this card. I adhered the layered heart to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I colored the sentiment from the Banner Banter stamp set with my Basic Black and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Markers and punched it out with the Banner Punch. I cut longer strips of Melon Mambo DSP and Basic Black DSP from the Brights and Neutrals DSP Stacks and I punched the ends with the Banner Punch. Then I adhered the three banners under the heart panel with SNAIL and added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel next to the sentiment.
One quick tip: If you’d like a longer banner and want to use the Banner Punch to create it, simply cut the strip of paper just a tiny bit narrower than the Banner Punch creates (about 5/8″ wide) and tuck the DSP inside the tag end, leave the rest of the strip outside and punch.
I punched two banners from the pieces that I’d trimmed off the heart die cut card and I adhered them with SNAIL to a Whisper White panel inside the card. I added a Heart Border Punch from Melon Mambo card stock to the smaller banner to complete it.
Now that you’ve seen my project, be sure to stop by the Heather’s blog to see what she created!
