I used the Kinda Eclectic stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today. My card design was inspired by the Stamping and Blogging SB63 Sketch. The Stamping and Blogging Design Team added another new member this week! So be sure to click the links below to see what everyone else has created with this sketch too.
The design for my card was inspired by the Stamping and Blogging SB63 Sketch.
The colors for my card were inspired by Sunday Stamps SSC79.
Sandi threw in a little twist this week for the Stamping and Blogging challenge by telling us that we needed to stamp the background. So that is how I started this card, I stamped the sun image from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in Basic Gray ink on a Basic Gray card stock panel.
Then I stamped the sentiment from the Another Thank You photopolymer stamp set in Basic Gray ink on the lower part of the panel. I adhered the stamped panel to panel of Marina Mist card stock with SNAIL, then to a Wild Wasabi card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the images from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in Wild Wasabi, and Basic Gray inks on a panel of Naturals White card stock and I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi card stock, then to the card front with SNAIL. I stamped the two butterfly images from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set in Marina Mist and Basic Gray inks on a Naturals White card stock panel and I punched them out with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches.
I adhered the butterfly images together with SNAIL, then looped some Linen Thread and taped it to the back of the butterfly punches. I adhered the butterflies to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels down the center of the butterfly and randomly on the card front.
I stamped the butterfly and leaf image from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set on a panel of Natural White card stock to complete the inside of the card. If you haven’t tried the Natural White card stock from Stampin’ Up!, I highly recommend it. It’s a little more sturdy than the Whisper White so it makes great card bases and it’s got those little flecks in it…simply beautiful! This paper also comes in a Natural Ivory, which is just as pretty! And just in case you haven’t seen them, you can find both papers on page 193 of the 2014-15 Annual Catalog in the lower right corner.
