I used one of the hostess exclusive stamp sets from the Stampin’ Up! Catalog called Life’s Adventure to create my card to share today.
My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #145.
I started by adhering a panel of Confetti Celebration DSP to a panel of Melon Mambo card stock with SNAIL, then to a Daffodil Delight card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I inked up the cake image from the Life’s Adventure stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamped it on a Whisper White panel and cut it out with an Ovals Collection Framelits Die.
I colored the cake image with my Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers. I used the same technique that I did for my card that I posted yesterday where I colored everything with the Light Marker, then went back and added Dark and Medium ink in the areas where I wanted some shading.
Once my coloring was completed, I adhered the image to an oval that I’d cut from Melon Mambo card stock with the next size up Ovals Collection Framelits Die, then I adhered the layered ovals to the card front with SNAIL. I stamped the sentiment from the Life’s Adventure stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a strip of Whisper White card stock and I cut it out with the larger banner from the Bitty Banners Framelits die set.
I drew lines with my Light Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers across the die cut banner, then tucked it under the focal image and adhered it with SNAIL. I cut a second banner from the All Abloom DSP Stack, trimmed the end a little shorter with my Paper Snips, tucked it under the focal image and adhered it with SNAIL to the card front. I added a few 2013-15 In Color Sequins, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere them and a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish the card front.
And because I had so much fun coloring the cake on the outside of the card, I stamped and colored it again on a Whisper White panel inside the card! I also added the sentiment from the Big News stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
