I used the Nuts About You hostess exclusive stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card for the Stamping and Blogging SB66 Sketch Challenge.
I started by creating my “frame” around the panel. I inked up the Woodgrain stamp with Baked Brown Sugar ink and I stamped it on a Baked Brown Sugar panel. I cut the image into 7/8″ x 4-3/4″ strips, the trimmed the ends at an angle before adhering them to a Pistachio Pudding card base.
Once I’d created my frame, I went to work on the main image. I inked the tree from the Nuts About You stamp set in Baked Brown Sugar ink, used my Blender Pen to remove the ink from the leaves and I colored the leaves with my Pistachio Pudding Marker. I stamped the image on a Whisper White panel, then stamped the grass image in Pistachio Pudding ink under the tree.
I stamped the image of the possum in Smoky Slate ink hanging on the tree branch, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with placement, and I used the Blush Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker to color the face, ears and hands. Then I colored the bird image from that set with my Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Markers and I stamped it under the tree image.
I used the leftover center circle from the Hello There hostess stamp set to create the little sun image. I simply inked up the rubber that was punched out of the center of the circle image with Daffodil Delight ink and I stamped it on the Whisper White panel. I punched out several flowers from Pistachio Pudding card stock with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack punches. I adhered the punches over the tree image with Glue Dots, then added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of each.
I cut two strips of Lullaby DSP, punched the ends with the Hexagon Punch to create the banners and adhered them with SNAIL to the Whisper White panel. I inked the sentiment from the Nuts About You stamp set in Baked Brown Sugar ink, stamped it on a Whisper White panel and punched it out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch. I layered it over a 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch from Baked Brown Sugar card stock, looped a little Linen Thread behind the sentiment (securing it with tape) then adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered one of the leftover strips stamped with the Hardwood image to a Whisper White panel to complete the inside of the card.
