Reflection Technique With Too Kind – Stampin’ Up!

I used a fun technique with the Too Kind stamp set from Stampin’ Up! to create my card to share today.  I used the reflection technique to turn one of the stems the opposite direction from the stamp on my card.  If you aren’t familiar with this technique, I did  a really quick tutorial for it and you can see it here.

Too Kind - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #147.

And by The Paper Players #207.

I started by stamping the stem image from the Too Kind stamp set in Pistachio Pudding ink on a panel of Watercolor Paper.  Then I used the plastic sheet from my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the reflecting image of the stem.  You can see a quick tutorial for this here on my Tutorials page.

Too Kind 2 - Stamp With Amy K

The I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig again (the way that it was intended!!) to stamp the flower images from the Too Kind stamp set in Crisp Cantaloupe and Calypso Coral inks.  I used my Aqua Painter and a little water to soften the image and give it a more watercolored effect.

And Many More - Stamp With Amy K

Then I stamped the sentiment from the And Many More stamp set in StazOn Jet Black ink on the lower left corner.  Once the paper was dry, I adhered the watercolor panel to a panel of Pistachio Pudding card stock with Fast Fuse Adhesive.

Too Kind 1 - Stamp With Amy K

Then I wrapped PistachioPudding Thick Baker’s Twine around the panel, taping it on the back to secure it.  I adhered a Calypso Coral button from the Subtles Designer Buttons Pack with a Stampin’ Dimensional that I’d cut in half (put half on each side of the twine), then added a bow that I’d tied from the Baker’s Twine and I used a rolled up Glue Dot to adhere it.  I adhered the stamped panel to a Calypso Coral card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Too Kind 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the flower image from the Too Kind stamp set on a Very Vanilla panel to complete the inside of the card.
