My sister asked me to create a stack of birthday cards for her that were flat and would require only one stamp to mail…that’s a bit of a challenge for me!  I made a stack of 8 feminine and 8 masculine cards and kept the layering and embellishments to a minimum.

Here are the masculine cards, I used the Work of Art and Wetlands stamp sets to create this set.  The card in the shades of brown was inspired by the My Favorite Things MFTWSC187 sketch.

I stamped the sentiment and goose image in Soft Suede ink on a panel of Naturals Ivory card stock.  Then I stamped the image from the Work of Art stamp set in Sahara Sand ink over the goose image twice without reinking it.  I cut the image out with a Banners Framelits die and adhered it with SNAIL to a Soft Suede rectangle.

The card base is Sahara Sand, the DSP panel is from the Park Lane DSP pack and the Soft Suede panel was embossed with the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder.  I added two Sahara Sand Candy Dots from the Neutrals Candy Dots Pack to finish the card.

I stamped the Wetlands goose image and the Work of Art image on a Vanilla Naturals Ivory card stock panel inside the card.

For this card, I embossed a Lost Lagoon card base with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  Then I stamped the Wetlands images and sentiment in StazOn Jet Black ink on a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the Work of Art images in Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky inks across the panel, then cut the image out with an Ovals Collection Framelits die.  I adhered it to a Soft Sky Ovals Collection Framelits die cut, then adhered the layered ovals to the card front with SNAIL.

I stamped the bird images from the Wetlands stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

I used the Age Awareness, Blended Bloom and Bloom with Hope (hostess exclusive) stamp sets to create the feminine cards.

I stamped the image from the Blended Bloom stamp in Sahara Sand ink on a Whisper White panel.  I let the images dry completely, then stamped the sentiment from the Age Awareness stamp set in VersaMark ink, sprinkled it with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat embossed it.  I used my Calyposo Coral Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers to color the center of the flower, then rounded the corners of the panel with the Envelope Punch Board.  I adhered the panel to a panel of Sahara Sand card stock, then to a Whisper White card base with SNAIL.

I stamped the Blended Bloom image again in Sahara Sand ink on the inside of the card.

I stamped the flower image from the Bloom with Hope stamp set in Sahara Sand ink on a Whisper White panel, some were stamped “full strength” and some were stamped without reinking.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the Age Awareness stamp set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I colored the flower centers with the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers, rounded the corners with the Envelope Punch Board, adhered the panel to a Sahara Sand card stock panel, then to a Whisper White card base with SNAIL.

I stamped the Bloom with Hope images in Sahara Sand ink inside the card to complete it.

It’s a bit of a challenge for me to create cards that are flat and easily reproducible, I do hope that my sister will be happy with this set!
