Sweetbriar Rose for Stamping and Blogging – Stampin’ Up!

I used the Sweetbriar Rose stamp set along with some of the new Color Me Autumn DSP and Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon from the 2014 Holiday Catalog to create my card to share today.

Sweetbriar Rose - Stamp With Amy K

My card design was inspired by the Stamping and Blogging SB70 sketch challenge.  Be sure to stop by the other Design Team Members blogs (see the links below) to check out their creations with this sketch!

I started by adhering a panel of Color Me Autumn DSP (available Aug 28) to a Cherry Cobbler card base with SNAIL.

Sweetbriar Rose 2 - Stamp With Amy K

I stamped the Sweetbriar Rose image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel and I colored it with my Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers.  I used the dark to light coloring method on these images, which means that I started by adding the dark shading with the Dark Blendabilities Markers first, then when back and added a little Medium, then colored over everything with the Light Marker to blend it.

Sweetbriar Rose 1 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the stamped panel to a panel of Cherry Cobbler card stock with SNAIL, then folded a little piece of Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon (available Aug 28) in half, adhered it to itself then to the back of the Cherry Cobbler Panel with SNAIL.

Sweetbriar Rose 3 - Stamp With Amy K

I adhered the layered stamped panel to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added two Cherry Cobbler Candy Dots from the Regals Candy Dots pack to the upper left corner to complete the card front.

Sweetbriar Rose 4 - Stamp With Amy K

I inked up the Sweetbriar Rose image again in Cherry Cobbler ink and stamped it on a Whisper White panel inside the card.

  1. Oh my gosh Amy! Love this DSP! Perfect background for your awesome use with the blendabilities! Is it “blendies” for short? You did such a fabulous job getting those colors and layers to come together and just pop of the card. Neat addition of the ribbon as the tab, great detail Amy 😉 you know I love your layers! Definitely going to try this layout 🙂
